What’s Happening At The Lake …

After a couple of cold blasts of Canadian air, the ice is finally starting to firm up on area lakes. Last weekend winter sports enthusiasts were out in force to enjoy both ice boating and ice fishing. Hearty souls also enjoyed the annual ice party held at The Abbey Resort’s harbor on Saturday. Hundreds showed up to skate with Chicago Blackhawks Alumni, try their luck at turkey bowling, ice fish and listen to live music by Big Al Wetzel and Mr. Myer bands. All proceeds from the day-long event benefitted the Fontana Fire and Rescue Department.
