After last week’s winter storm, suddenly the Geneva Lakes area is coated with a layer of snow, and it feels as though winter might actually be here to stay. Hearty souls didn’t let the chilly temperatures deter them from taking a dip in Geneva Lake at noon on New Year’s Day. Young and old waded, walked, ran or dove into the icy waters at Williams Bay Beach. Brr!!! Consistent winter-like temperatures meant area ski hills were making snow for those wanting to hit the slopes over the long New Year’s weekend. Winter’s beauty was a spectacular sight to see for anyone making the drive on Snake Road between Lake Geneva and Williams Bay.
