What’s Happening At The Lake …

The fall foliage is bursting with color and last weekend was the perfect time for a leisurely drive. Snake Road between Williams Bay and Lake Geneva was especially beautiful with scores of bright yellow and red maples and rusty-colored oaks lining the way. We also headed north to The Elegant Farmer near Mukwonago. Their annual Autumn Festival was underway with pony and hay rides, and of course a trip inside the farm kitchen to purchase their famous apple pie baked in a paper bag. Halloween happenings were underway last weekend at Old World Wisconsin. A whole host of characters were on hand, including cackling witches and gloomy grave diggers to help us celebrate legends and lore of the Old World.
