What’s Happening At The Lake …

Although Travel Wisconsin’s Fall Color Report says Walworth County’s fall foliage is past peak, we found a place earlier this week that still caused us to pause and revel in the season’s beauty. Snake Road which follows a portion of Geneva Lake’s north shore is one of our favorite drives during the fall. Just west of the city of Lake Geneva, the Wisconsin Rustic Road is just under three miles long, so it’s a detour worth taking. As the road twists and turns, as its name implies, trees with leaves of varying shades of yellow, orange and red reached out to greet us. We were pleasantly surprised to see Mother Nature’s handiwork was still in abundance – fall is fading too quickly, so get out there and enjoy the last of it!

Enjoying the Fall Color

Old Tyme Radio Show: This Saturday morning, Lake Lawn Resort hosts a live, old-time radio show that will broadcast on WGTD-FM, Kenosha. The show will be reminiscent of those heard in the 20s, 30s, and 40s, complete with actors and sound effects. For show time and details, click here.

Dine Around the Lakes: Walworth County’s restaurant week, gets underway this Friday, Nov. 4 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 13.
