Families are gathering at the lake to celebrate the season and enjoy festive events and activities. Last weekend, Delavan’s Dance Factory staged its annual performance of The Nutcracker at Young Auditorium on the UW-Whitewater campus. If you were lucky enough to attend the Christmas Remembered show at the all new Rosewood entertainment complex in the former Millie’s Restaurant near Delavan, you were treated to a performance by Mark Hladish Sr., Gretch Hladish, and Diane Lewis. Last weekend, The Christmas Barn near Elkhorn was bustling with activity. Although it’s only open for a limited number of weekends in November and December, it’s the perfect place each year to find one-of-a-kind gifts from area artisans.
