What’s Happening At The Lake …

It’s hard to believe we’re approaching the third weekend in February already. Where has the winter gone? For some, that might be a good thing. For others who love the cold and snow, the Geneva Lakes area has provided plenty of fun things to do. Last weekend Delavan welcomed some of the greatest kite performers in the world for the annual Sky Circus on Ice event. Kites of all sizes were flown over the frozen waters of Delavan Lake in front of Lake Lawn Resort, while snow sculpting and ice carving demonstrations took place downtown. A fresh blanket of snow on Sunday gave cross-country skiers a chance to get out and enjoy a loop around Yerkes Observatory. For those who preferred indoor activities, the Geneva Lake Museum hosted Track the Past, its annual train show. This family-friendly event, held on Saturday, included multiple train layouts suited for young and old railroad enthusiasts.
