Those of us that grew up in the Geneva Lakes area know the winters can be long, but like all hardy Wisconsinites we know how to embrace these gray, cold days with both indoor and outdoor fun. Last Friday, some of us started the weekend with the Lakefront Brewery Beer Dinner at Lake Lawn Resort. A delicious four course dinner was paired with micro craft beers. On Saturday, the Inn Between Bar & Grill hosted its annual ice ball tournament on Delavan Lake. This week, in Lake Geneva, preparations have been underway for Winterfest and the U.S. National Snow Sculpting Competition. Wednesday, teams began the 100-hour marathon to carve the winning creation out of nine foot cylinders of snow.
