Thousands gathered in Lake Geneva last weekend for the city’s annual Winterfest celebration and the U.S. Snow Sculpting Competition. The fifteen teams completed their sculptures on Saturday with teams from Wisconsin taking the top two spots in the competition. Spectators viewing the sculptures voted for Team Maine for “The People’s Choice Award.” As temperatures warmed to almost 50 degrees on Monday, the meticulous detail of each sculpture soon began to disappear. What a shame! Hopefully you had the opportunity to view these incredible works of art. If not, there’s always next year!
Even though temperatures have melted away the snow, Winterfest activities are ongoing, so be sure to check out VISITLakeGeneva.com.
