It was another busy weekend At The Lake as visitors flocked to the area for events on the water and on land. More than 800 sailors and 250 boats competed in the Inland Lake Yachting Association Championship Regatta held on Geneva Lake. This was the first major event hosted at the new Buddy Melges Sailing Center located at the Lake Geneva Yacht Club. If you missed this year’s regatta, you’ll have an opportunity to witness these championship races next summer and in 2017. Alpine Valley Music Theatre near East Troy was the place to be Saturday night for Jimmy Buffet fans. Thousands of Parrot Heads made their trek to southern Wisconsin to enjoy the sounds of summer and participate in this one-of-a-kind concert experience. Starting last Wednesday and running through Sunday, Lake Geneva’s Venetian Festival drew large crowds and fun for the whole family. The five-day event culminated in a spectacular fireworks display Sunday night.
