Although it’s the beginning of August, there’s still plenty of fun left this summer at the lake. Last weekend, the 40th annual Williams Bay Fine Art & Craft Festival drew a big crowd to Edgewater Park, where artists from around the Midwest showcased everything from oil paintings and handmade jewelry, to stained glass and garden sculptures. Each Sunday afternoon during the summer, The Abbey Resort hosts “Burnin’ Down the Docks” on its Harbor Patio. Last Sunday’s picture-perfect weather made it easy to feast on mouthwatering barbecue, sip a cold drink and enjoy the solo acoustic performance of David Harlan. Last weekend was also great for those that love fun in the sun. Many hit Riviera Beach in Lake Geneva for a day of swimming, building sandcastles or enjoying a summer novel.
